10 Things Every Bride to Be Should Know

In For the Bride, Pre-wedding, Wedding Tips

Bride to BeThey say a woman’s wedding day is one of the most important days of her life. It’s the day where she finally unites with the love of her life. There are so many things to prepare for but there are also simple key things that every bride should know before making her way down the aisle.

1.      Get Your Beauty Sleep

This might be easier said than done but there is nothing more important than looking your absolute best on your wedding day. Avoid going out the days leading up to your wedding. Try to get at least a minimum of 7-8 hours of sleep. On the night before your wedding, you be might be nervous and it can be difficult to sleep but really try to get yourself in bed before 10 P.M. so that you are fully rested and ready to take on the big day ahead!

2.      Don’t Forget to Eat

Regardless of what time your wedding is, it is very important that you eat before you walk down the aisle. If your wedding is in the morning, make sure you have a filling breakfast. If your wedding is in the middle of the day, be sure to have a filling lunch as well as breakfast.

3.      Be Proactive

Nothing is worse than running around on the day of your wedding trying to get last minute things done. If you have a wedding planner, speak with them and make sure everything is crystal clear for the big day. Get your nails done the day before and get any waxing done a few days in advance so that your skin isn’t irritated when you have your makeup applied. Send friendly reminders to your makeup and hair stylist so they know what time to come in on the day of your wedding. It might seem like these things are common sense but sometimes in the midst of so many things going on, you might end up forgetting something that you don’t want to leave for the end.

4.      Bring Comfortable Shoes

This might sound so simple, but bring with you a pair of comfortable shoes such as flats or even flip flops to walk around in on the day of your wedding. The last thing you want to do is wear heels or any type of shoe that is going to cause harm to your feet. Wear the heels for pictures and during the actual wedding, but once the reception begins switch over to a pair of comfortable shoes. Your feet will thank you.

5.      Relax and Stay Calm

Once you get your hair and makeup done, sit down and relax. The worst thing you can do is be running around. Read a book to keep you calm or even watch a TV show. Do something that is going to keep you calm and not have your nerves all over the place.

6.      Spend Time With Your Loved Ones

There are moments when planning a wedding that you might not be thinking about spending time with your loved ones, but make it a priority. It’s your wedding – you should spend time with those who are helping you make this day a success. Take the time out of your busy day and grab a coffee with your bridesmaids, or go for a late night dinner with your parents.

7.      DO TRIALS

Make sure that you do trials for not only your hair and makeup, but also for your manicure and pedicure. You want to make sure that you know what you are going to look like on the day of your wedding. Make sure you have a test trial with your makeup artist a few days before the wedding to make sure you like your look. The same goes with your hair. The last thing you need is to be unhappy with how it all comes out on your wedding day.

8.      Don’t Try New Face Items

Whatever you do, don’t try any new face products the month before your wedding. The last thing that you need is to get an allergic reaction days before your wedding day. If you are going to experiment with new face items do so at least two to three months in advance.

9.      Stay Hydrated

An important tip to keep in mind on the day of your wedding and the days before your wedding is to keep yourself hydrated. Drink as much water as you can. The last thing you want is to be dehydrated right before its time to say I do.

10.  HAVE FUN

The most important tip to know for the day of your wedding is to have fun. Planning a wedding can be stressful, but it’s your wedding. Don’t forget to have fun. Have fun with your loved ones and of course your groom! Enjoy every second of your wedding and take it all in!
